The NODS Meeting was held at the Botanical Garden was held on 05-01-10
at 1:00 P.M.
Location: Cleveland Botanical Garden
Attendance: 12 members and 3 officers.
Speakers: John Hric presented a slide show of his seedlings along with the three that he
has registered and named after his grandchildren. Ralph Haehn reviewed the steps to grooming and preparing a daylily scape
for show. The link for these steps is available on the ODS website and NODS website.
Botanical Garden Show:Cynthia Druckenbrod passed out the rough draft for the judging
standards for the July 25th scape show at the Botanical Garden. If you see any changes to the draft, e-mail her.
There will not be a parking fee for anyone entering a scape for the show or for anyone working the show. There will be an
official category added this year for seedlings. Check-in time for the entries will start at 8:00AM and open at noon to the
public.
Draime Estate Legacy GardenWe will need
to carpool for the Draime Garden in Warren on June 5th. Parking is available for only 6 cars.Member Comments:Jan Teague reported that
she had a letter from Bryan Culver and he is donating plants for the club to use for fund raising. It was suggested that we
have a club auction. Jan will let Doug know when she receives the plants.Doug reported that the rebate program has been updated and the information is available on the NODS website.Meeting adjourned at 2:15P.M.
