to Amy Doerger for obtaining 15 raffle prizes from outside vendors. Thank you was also given to Curt Hanson, Roy Woodhall
and Eric Moore for their generous donations for the Silent Auction. Also acknowledged were the new officers: Sheryl Miller,

Treasurer’s Report
An annual expense
report was passed out to all members in a folder. Jan reported that we still made a profit in 2009 even with the rebates and
reimbursements given this past year. Our profit was $1,243.40. We are still waiting on the projector refund.
Kent State
Scholarship
Stan Jones, Kent State Program Director of Horticulture and Grant Porter, NODS scholarship recipient were
introduced. Stan reported that the Salem Campus of Kent State has added more daylily beds and that Kent has received
a lot of interest in their new Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture. He also reported that our scholarship recipient will
be the 1st to graduate with this degree in their new program. Grant thanked the NODS members for the scholarship which is
helping him through his final semester.
ByLaws Update
NODS members passed the change in the By-Laws. The modifications
will be posted on the website.
Calendar:
All members received the calendar in their folder for the upcoming year.
Minor changes to the calendar will be the date of the annual daylily sale to the 3rd week in August. The plus to this date
is that the train will be there which provides us with walk in traffic on Sundays.
Botanical
Garden:
The scape show at the Botanical Garden was a tremendous success. Cynthia Druckenbrod reported that over 1,000
attended the event and they sold out within the first hour. She hopes more members participate next year.
Doug reported
that the judging needs some revision for next year.
Daylily Sale:
We need a Chair/Co-Chair for the daylily sale
this year. If you are interested, please contact Doug. If needed, the sale will be cut back a little based on the number of
volunteers.
Comments/Suggestions:
NODS membership voted to refund members attending the Winter Symposium in Cincinnati
$25.00 for expenses. NODS membership voted to reimburse members attending the Region 2 Symposium $50.00. Laura Frazier
made the motion 2nd by Barb Meholick. Motion passed. Del Dickens made a motion to purchase a new Eureka book for Doug
and NODS covers the cost. Motion passed.
Information on rebate money for members to receive for the annual sale needs
to be spelled out in detail. These details will be on the website in April. Del also brought up the question on whether
we are going to reimburse members that buy daylilies out of region 2. After a discussion and vote, it was decided by a vote
of 22-7 that only daylilies purchased in Region 2 will qualify for the rebate.
Adjournment:
Silent Auction winners
were announced by their “card.”
January birthdays took home the centerpieces.
Meeting was adjourned
at 9:30PM followed by the Raffle Prizes.
