AHS (American Hemerocallis Society) has a very specific Awards and Honors system. To help determine
what cultivar's win awards there are two different types of judges: Garden Judge and Exhibition Judge.
Garden Judges evaluate specific registered cultivars
in gardens by observing the cultivars performance as complete plants in a garden.
Exhibition
Judges evaluate registered cultivars against the standards of a specific flower in flower show exhibitions.
To become either an accredited Exhibition Judge or a Garden Judge you must attend clinics (workshops) and pass a
written test. The NODS members listed below have met the judge criteria.
Congratulations to Curt Hanson for winning the AHS 2007 Lenington
All-American Award for his cultivar Bela Lugosi!
